This session included one of my favorite storytelling elements. A tiny pair of baby shoes and a teddy bear that was once mamas placed gently in the foreground.

You Do Not Need a Perfect Sunset

A lot of people think beach sessions only work at golden hour but this session proves otherwise. We were hoping to have the stunning Gulf sunsets over the water, but with a storm rolling in, the sky had other plans. Although we didn't get the vibrant colors, the sky still gave us a dreamy, diffused light that was soft, and moody. Some of the most beautiful sessions happen when the weather is not perfect.

If you are considering booking a session here, here are a few tips: Trust your photographer to choose the best hidden spots, where the crowds are low Plan for the wind! Most days, you are dealing with some sort of wind at the beach. Make sure to plan your hairstyle and clothing accordingly! Wear Neutral, and soft colors. These photograph the best with the pastel skies, blue waters, and white sandy beaches.
